Free bird sketching workshops for kids and families taught as part of the 40th Annual Birding and Wildflower Festival at Silver Falls State Park in Oregon. Naturalist and artist, Christine Elder will lead 1-hour workshops where participants will learn about 3 different species that migrate through the area, their migratory routes, life history, identification, and hints for creating realistic sketches of them. Workshops will be both Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13th.

Sagawau Environmental Learning Center, 12545 W. 111th St., in Lemont, will host World Migratory Bird Day on Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is open to all ages.

In honor of this year’s International Migratory Bird Day, staff and volunteers will have discovery stations along the preserve’s trails for visitors to learn about the incredible feats of migratory birds and the importance of protecting the habitat they need for survival along their amazing journeys. Discovery tables will be available from 9 a.m. -12 p.m.

El próximo domingo 13 de mayo daremos la BIENVENIDA A LAS CARRACAS, que desde el mes de abril están llegando a sus territorios de cría y prácticamente todas ya están en sus zonas de reproducción por lo que ya es más probable contactar con adultos realizando vuelos de exhibición y cortejo.

En el Aula de la naturaleza de Rambla Salada, la asociación LA CARRACA, propone realizar un taller de dibujo de carracas e ilustración de camisetas para que todos pasemos un rato divertido con los más pequeños. Será de 10.00 a 12.00.

Con il patrocinio del Comune di Monte Castello di Vibio e la partecipazione di alcuni residenti, dal 2016 è in corso il progetto "Una rondine non fa primavera" finalizzato alla divulgazione ed alla raccolta dati su due specie di passeriformi migratori, la Rondine ed il Balesrtuccio. Questa primavera appuntamento a Doglio per una breve passeggiata per osseravare upupe, ascoltare cuculi e rigogoli.  Con un pò di fortuna potremo vedere alcuni rapaci migratori presenti nella zona, il Biancone ed il Nibbio bruno.

The Oregon Coast Aquarium is celebrating World Migratory Bird Day! Join your feathered friends in celebrating with raffles, family-friendly activities, and seabird, vulture, and pelican presentations from 10 AM to 3 PM.
 

Bird Camp will be organizes  by Nature Reserve Rivnenskyi. Public will be invited to celebrate the return of migratory birds. Activities will focus on kids and include songbird-banding demonstration and lectures about birds of our region.

On April 3rd 2018, The Dolj County Center for Nature Protection, Tourism, and Sustainable Rural Development , which is the administrator of ROSCI0045 Jiu Corridor,ROSPA0023 Jiu-Danube Confluence, and ROSPA0010 Bistret, has organized an educational activity. The purpose of the activity was to raise awareness of the protected species of birds from the Bistret area and their importance to the ecosystems. Moreover, the activity encouraged a healthy lifestyle based on physical activity and outdoor biking, supporting at the same time birdwatching.
