In honor of this year’s International Migratory Bird Day, staff and volunteers will have discovery stations along the preserve’s trails for visitors to learn about the incredible feats of migratory birds and the importance of protecting the habitat they need for survival along their amazing journeys. Discovery tables will be available from 9 a.m. -12 p.m.
As part of our International Migratory Bird Day Celebration activities, Ranger Eric will lead a guided walk on the preserve’s trails from 7:15-9:15 a.m. Space is limited. To register, call the Preserve Nature Center at (928) 684-2772.
Participants will look and listen for birds during the peak of spring migration and learn how to identify birds by sight and sound, as well as learn about the interesting behavioral and ecological roles of the breeding and migratory species.
