• Nature Environment & Wildlife Society (Odisha) will organize the following events in the eve of World Migratory Bird Day, 2018.

Celebrate WORLD MIGRATORY BIRD DAY and YEAR OF THE BIRD with Yellowstone National Park and the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center

Experience World Migratory Bird Day and join us for a day full of programs that celebrate and teach the role and importance of wild birds.

SATURDAY, May 12

8:00 AM - NOON: BIRDWATCHING CAR CARAVAN

Birds know no borders. Many of the species that sing to us all summer have winter homes farther south in Central or South America. Some birds just pass through, and some settle in for the summer. Whatever their destination, May is a time of year where we can see many species in our parks.  World Migratory Bird Day is a celebration of the diversity of birds that live among us, and a reminder of our ability to protect these animals as they travel extraordinary distances each year.

Live Animal Shows: Owls, Hawks, Mammals

Great Music: Big Dog Coutry, Tom Barnes 

Food Trucks: Chicken, Biurgers, and Dogs, Desserts

Guided Tours: Canoeing & Bird Watching Walks 

Family Entertainment: Professor Green Pockets Magic 

Children's Acitvities: 24' Rock Wall, Games, Crafts, Bounce House 

Local Products: Artisans and Vendors, Native Plant Sale 

Public bird walk on the Rio Grande River dike in Alamosa, CO. This event is open to all ages! Early bird event starts at 9:00 AM on May 4th. We will be meeting in the parking lot just over the bridge on N. River Road. From the parking lot, we will take a small walk along the dike observing any bird species we come across and providing any information about the birds we have. Bring water, some snacks, and binoculars if you have them. We will be providing small binoculars to those in need while supplies last!

5:30 pm May 01, 2018 Ironwood Carneige Library, Ironwood, MI will host a power point talk on Migratory Birds by Susan Spaete

Taller gratuito: Realización de Consultas en la Base de Datos del Colectivo Ornitológico Cigüeña Negra. Esta base de datos es la que usa desde el año 1996 el COCN. en sus trabajos de voluntariado censando aves en el área del Estrecho de Gibraltar.

Con este taller se pretende enseñas a los participantes como realizar consultas sobre la Base de datos con el objeto de que estas personas puedan usar esta herramienta para la realización de análisis y conclusiones de la información contenida en el sistema
 

The Tag-n-Track team will be attending the Kilmacolm show to promote the daily lives of a group of Lesser Black-backed Gulls that have been fitted with satellite tags.  Our gulls have returned from the migration. Find out where they visited and how long it took them to travel. 

Tropical Biodiversity & Social Enterprise, is organising birdwatching and environnmental education activity to celebrate WMBD 2018: 

09th of may 2018: Films projections following by slides presentations on bird migration and why madagascar is important. 

12th of may 2018: Birdwatching activity start at  6 am with brief talk on safety and program and following by 2 hours bird observations, identification and counting along the BEVAVA beach and Lake of Ambinanibe
