World Migratory Bird Day at Potlatch Public Library

Potlatch Public Library will celebrate 2019 World Migratory Bird Day with a series of bird related activities, beginning at 7 a.m. Friday with a bird walk at Scenic Six Park, 125 Sixth St., Potlatch. Participants should meet at the library, 1010 Onaway Road, prior to going to the park.

Spring count - World Migratory Bird Day

In conjunction with World Migratory Bird Day, we'll be conducting our annual spring count.  It is sure to be warmer than the Christmas Bird count, so put it on your calendar!
As before, the Mesa County-wide count will be divided into 12 areas, with a trip leader for each area.  Birders of all levels of experience are welcome to participate. 

Cantigny Park - Birdwatching Open

The Birdwatching Open coincides with World Migratory Bird Day and focuses attention on the important role golf courses can play in providing bird-friendly habitat. The goal is to find as many species as we can, birding Cantigny Golf for most of the day.

World Migratory Bird Day at Black Lake Preserve

In honor of World Migratory Bird Day, Eastern Sierra Land Trust, with birding experts from Eastern Sierra Audubon Society, will be leading a birding tour of ESLT’s beautiful Black Lake Preserve.  They will spend the morning viewing the many different local and migratory birds that call this area home.  All birding levels welcome – kids included.  No pets please.  For directions, and to RSVP for this free event, please email 

Protect Birds: Be the Solution to Plastic Pollution

The event consists of several activities including bird watching, lectures, art contest and others.

Birdwatching at Protected Forest Angke Kapuk

Follow up the Asian waterbird census in January 2019, KEHATI Indonesian Biodiversity Conservation Trust Fund and Accenture Indonesia will hold birdwatching on May 11th 2019. Joining with us biodiversity warriors, the youth community that regularly do the birdwatching activities in Indonesia. 

The data we have captured will be informed to the environmental board of Jakarta province for update.

Previously in 2019 we had captured 25 bird species,included 14 waterbirds. It was raining that effected the appearance of the birds

Grand Isle Migratory Bird Celebration

The annual Grand Isle Migratory Bird Celebration takes place Friday to Sunday, April 12, 13, 14, 2019 throughout the town of Grand Isle.

“After a long flight across the Gulf of Mexico, migrating birds flock to Grand Isle to rest after their difficult journey. The island has become one of the best places in the world to see the variety of species flying north,” said Grand Isle Mayor David Camardelle. “The Migratory Bird Festival not only celebrates their arrival but provides easy viewing access to visitors.”

Wildlife Safari Park Bird Watching Campout

Wildlife Safari Park Bird Watching Campout is for Families and Small groups interested in Bird Watching.  Early evening and mornings, at the park, offer some of the best bird viewing, so bring your sleeping bag, binoculars and cameras and join us for this special opportunity.  Groups will stay in separate tents with cots or are welcome to bring their own tent for use.
