Educational Activity

The event is celebrated every year in resorts and schools. This year, it includes presentations on migratory birds and fun games related to birds along with an awareness talk. The last actvity of the event would be a beach cleanup and waste sorting with the participants being offered refreshments and group pictures.

Sunday, May 19, 2019: World Migratory Bird Day and Native Plant Sale, 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Bring your binoculars and join Observatory experts on bird hikes through Forest Beach Migratory Preserve, enjoy a live raptor show, and shop for native plants that benefit birds, Monarchs, and other pollinators.
 

The Environmental Action Committee of West Marin (EAC) is proud to partner with Amigos Alados to bring FREE youth and family programming to the annual Point Reyes Birding & Nature Festival. Children 3 to 18 accompanied by their families are invited. The festivities will take place on the lawn at 65 Third Street, Point Reyes Station, California, from 10:00 to 2:00.

At the same time as the National Birdwatching Day in Iran, "the Birdwatching Club chakavak" hosted an "Immigrant Birding" Workshop.

The professor of the workshop was Iman Ebrahimi, the director of the Avaye boom (The canvas sound) Society.

This workshop was held at the General Office of the Environment of Bushehr Province.

The main topics of this workshop were native and migratory birds, species of the Bushehr province and the capacity of the Bushehr province in the bird-watching tourism industry.

Then we went to nature for bird watching.

Celebrating one of the most remarkable comeback stories — how the world's largest swan, native only to North America, the magnificent Trumpeter, was brought back after 100 years of extinction in this Province through 30 years of work by dedicated volunteers. The photography exhibit will showcase captures from over three years from Meera Sulaiman, conservation talk, live musical performance and door prizes. It's a free event open to the public to help create more awareness for conservation.
