Birdwatching Day in Egypt

Birdwatching Day is a one day trip. It will take place in Fayoun and Wadi el Rayan on the 8th April 2006. The aim of this trip is to increase the public awarness toward the migratory birds.

World Migratory Bird Day Celebrations

We plan to involve local school children from 2 different schools: Ndindika day Secondary school and Nangarua Primary school. The students and pupils will be involved in morning birdwatching, talk or lecture and video show on migratory birds, drawing or painting different birds as per our theme for this year: Migratory birds and climate change. We also plan games that potray bird in migration.

WMBD 2007 in Uzbekistan

About 200 students and teachers of Bukhara State Unversity have celebrated the WMBD on 12 May 2007 in a nice place called Sarmyshsay near Navoi,SE Uzbekistan. This event was organized under the BirdLife/RSPB project \"Important Bird Areas in Uzbekistan\". Bird watching for beginners at Koonthankulam Bird Sanctuary

We will take our nature club members (approximately 40 participants) to the Koonthankulam Bird Sanctuary at Tirunelveli,Tamilnadu,India.

Birdwatching Activity at Saltrange Lakes (Pakistan)

Birdwatching activity and awareness programme for students about migratory activities of birds and their behaviour at non breeding sites. The activity will take place around the Saltrange Lakes - for more information please contact Dr. Zulfiqar below.

Field Trip to Ayrag Lake-Ramsar Site, Mongolia

A field trip will be organised, visiting Ayrag Lake, a Ramsar Site in western Mongolia. Participants of the trip are biology students of Khovd University. The activity is sponsored by the project \"Support of HUN Club’s conservation and public awareness activities in western Mongolia\" which is supported by the Asian Waterbird Conservation Fund which is administered by WWF Hong Kong.

Bird-Watching-Weekend

The German Youth Association for the Protection of Nature (NAJU) is currently carrying out a campaign for the protection of migratory waterbirds and the climate. This “climate-academy” on the subject of “migratory birds in a changing climate” is a qualifying programme for young people between 16 and 23 years of age with a thirst for knowledge and creative ideas, who want to discover more about the causes of climate change and its impact on migration and to take action themselves.

Birdwatching Program

A birdwatch program has been arranged for a group of resource persons from around Gujarat State. The event will be preceeded with an observation program of celestial objects. Participants will be given detailed information on the star charts etc. and be trained on how birds use position of stars to calibrate their location while migration.

Regional Birdwatching for WMBD

Take a group of wildlife club young members and leaders for activities along the National RAMSAR site for Birdwatching and other observations. We will also talk to community members about Migratoy Bird and their actions to help them. At the end children will make drawings of their choice on the theme followed by a picnic on the beach. [We are holding the activity one week later because the weekend of 12-13 May was election Day in Seychelles so not a very good idea to take children out...]

\"Welcome to Red-breasted flycatchers\"

Papuk Nature Park, situated in eastern Croatia is mountain region covered with beech, fir and oak forests. Due to very big population of White-collared Flycatcher and breeding Booted Eagle Papuk is nationally important bird area. Bird-watching event was organized in the oldest beech forest in Papuk Nature Park, in Park Forest Jankovac. After short presentation about 30 school children, accompanied with their teachers and press-representatives take a bird-watching walk through forest.
