World Migratory Bird Day Walk at Old Mastic's William Floyd Estate , New York

Three mile roundtrip walk through varied habitats of oak-hickory woods, fields, fresh and salt water creeks and marsh to capture an excellent glimpse of the many bird species of the historic property of the William Floyd Estate. We will find many resident bird species as well as migratory ones such as neotropical warblers and vireos, thrush, grosbeaks and tanagers. Bring tick repellent and binoculars! El Día Mundial de la Aves Migratorias en Ancón, busca sensibilizar entre el público visitante al parque Central y Balneario de Ancón sobre la importancia de conservar a las aves especialmente a las aves migratorias.

El evento contará con talleres educativos, conferencias y observación de aves.

Festival de las Aves Migratorias Ventanilla 2018

El festival de las aves en los Humedales de Ventanilla, se realizá en marco de las celebraciones del Día Mundial de las Aves Migratorias.

Las actividades se realizarán en el Parque Ecológico Municipal El Mirador "Humedales de Ventanilla" a partir de las 9:00am. Tendremos talleres educativos, diversas charlas, observación de aves y mucho más. Ven con tu familia, el ingreso es libre!

World Migratory Bird Day Walk by Watsonville Wetlands Watch

Join us on Saturday, May 12th, when we celebrate World Migratory Bird Day 2018!

Watsonville Wetlands Watch is hosting a fun and educational bird walk to celebrate The Year of the Bird on Saturday.

The bird walk will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on the paved trail system on upper Struve Slough. This tour, led by Jeff Caplan, director of Common Language for Nature Connection is both bi-lingual and wheelchair accessible. Other bilingual walks are also available this Spring on his website.

World Migratory Bird Day birdwalks on IBAs

Birdwalks timed to the World Migratory Bird Day will be organized on IBAs in three different regions of Uzbekistan. On IBA ‘Dalverzin hunting-management area’, for instance, birdwalks for local people and visitors of this site will be focused on breeding biome species of the unique riparian forest. This event will be in line with ‘We need this forest!’ campaign aimed at the restoration and maintenance of the riparian forest in Dalverzin.

Sunrise Kayak: World Migratory Bird Day at McDowell Nature Preserve

Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day on a paddle along the edges of McDowell Nature Preserve. View the sunrise and search for ducks, geese, cormorants, kingfishers and herons. Learn introductory birding techniques, bird identification and some of the history of Lake Wylie along the way. No experience in kayaking or birding necessary. Kayaks, binoculars and all gear provided. Ages 18+.  Registration required.  Cost $15/person.

Feather Fest by City of New London

Join the City of New London for a FREE event May 12 from 8-11am at the central shelter house of Hatten Park. We'll celebrate the return of Spring and the return of migratory birds. Bring your binoculars, or borrow a pair (please bring ID for collateral), walk the trails and listen for the songs of the breeding birds. We'll have audio CDs playing in the shelter to match the singer with his song. There will be activities for the kids and Wild Ones Natural Landscapers will bring native plants for purchase.

Reason for Hope - an event at Rosegg Animal Park

We are celebrating World Migratory Bird Day with an event at Rosegg Animal Park. 

The event program includes info stands, presentations, a guided tour at Northern Bald Ibis aviary, movie screenings, crafts and other activities for children. A talk on reintroduction of Northern Bald Ibis in Europe by Life project and a lecture on bird migration are among other event highlights.

WMBD Celebration-Year of the Bird at Perkinstown Winter Sports Area

World Migratory Bird Day Celebration—Year of the Bird. Event happening at Perkinstown Winter Sports Area-Taylor County, N4168 Winter Sports Road.

Designed for all ages, activities will include morning birdwatching and wildflower walks, nature games, building of Oriole bird feeders and Bluebird houses, and an afternoon bus tour of birding sites around Chequamegon Waters (Miller Dam).  A presentation with a live vulture, hawk and owl will precede lunch.

No charge for activities or food.  Hosted by Chequamegon Bird Club.
