Celebración del Día Mundial de las Aves Migratorias Bahía de Banderas

The event is divided in two smaller events.

Drawing competition

Starts on September 1st and ends on October 13th, it consists on a drawing competition where participants will have to get as many likes in facebook as they can in order to win.

Basic Birdwatching Workshop

Competitors from the drawing competition will have a free pass to join the  "Basic birdwatching workshop" on October 13th, other participants in the workshop will have to pay a fee of 100 pesos.

¡Salgamos a ver aves!

We will have a special bird walk at Jocotepec Malecon open for the public. We will give a brief talk about the migratory birds of Lake Chapala and their importance for the region. A week before we will be advertising the event on social media (https://www.facebook.com/PlumasdelLago/)

"Fall Fun Fest: Birds & Butterflies - Year of the Bird: 365 Days of Bird Conservation" is a World Migratory Bird Day and Pringle Nature Center Fall Fest combined festival open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Pringle Nature Center in Bristol Woods County Park, 9800 160th Ave., Bristol, WI, USA.

International Migratory Bird Day at the Vallarta Botanical Garden

Come join us for a family-friendly event celebrating migratory birds. An 8 am bird-watching hike guided by a local bird specialist will be available. Please arrive on time to join the hike! We hope you are able to participate in this special celebration and enjoy the natural beauty within our Garden. Event participation is included with Garden admission at $200.00 MXN pesos per person. Garden entry and event participation is free for members.

Celebremos las Aves Migratorias en Tulum

Celebremos las Aves Migratorias en Tulum. La Península de Yucatán es la casa invernal de miles de aves migratorias. Observemos, aprenderemos y amaremos las especies que nos visitan, de esta manera respetaremos sus hábitats para su estancia invernal. Desde la mañana hasta el atardecer identificaremos la mayor cantidad de aves en diferentes ecosistemas.

Celebremos las aves migratorias en Puerto Morelos

Se llevará a cabo una caminata por el parque y los alrededores, donde se identificarán,  con binoculares y guías, las aves residentes y migratorias presentes. Además que se explicará su importancia ecológica, económica y social de las mismas, así como una descripción del fenómeno de migración y sus implicaciones.

 

The Furthest North Birding Event

In the beginning of June the Partnership "Birds and People" with the support of the "Kenozersky National Park" FGBU took part in ornithological research and the "Birder School" in the Onega Pomorie National Park.

Día mundial de las aves migratorias

Realizaremos una salida de 3 a 5 horas en la cual vamos a recorrer el estero de San José del Cabo en el cual podemos encontrar diferentes ambientes como playa, tular, palmar y bosque de mesquite. Será una observación con caminata contamos con guías de identificación y algunos binoculares para Los participantes. La actividad será por la mañana y se colocará una mesa para ubicar materiales atractivos y de divulgación como los del Programa de Aves Urbanas y extras con los que contamos.

Branta Fest San Quintín 2019 / Brant Fest San Quintín 2019

During the two last weekends of january and first weekend of February, the San Quintín Botanical Garden, the Bird watchers of San Quintín Valley, and UMA Los Volcanes will be helding diferent activities about the migratory birds and the importance of San Quintín Bay for them. Some activities will be: second citizen black brant count, talks about birds in the schools, birds watching trips in boats and by foot, movies.  

Vancouver Avian Research Centre's Bird Monitoring and Banding Field Workshop

The Bird Monitoring and Banding Workshop is a 3 day action-packed introductory course consisting of presentations, specimen study, field mist-netting, banding, and processing under the direction of Derek Matthews, Master Bander, a North American Banding Council (NABC) certified trainer and Bander-in-charge at the Vancouver Avian Research Centre.
