Please join us to celebrate Bird Day at Camas National Wildlife Refuge! There will be guided bird walks, bird banding demonstrations, educational booths, activities, and a free lunch! The event starts at 10 a.m., but come early and do some birding on the refuge!

World Migratory Bird Day in Galena, IL

Family friendly event to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day in Galena. Bird Outing, Kids Crafts and Activities, Insect Fun and Facts. Build a 'Bug Snug' and learn how to make a small inground water feature with native aquatic plants for your backyard. Free supplies to the first 20 people who sign up. 

Groveland World Migratory Bird Day

The City of Groveland is taking advantage of the Second Friday Block Party at Lake David Park, featuring booths from the City of Groveland, DarkSky Central Florida, and Orange Audubon Society. Topics such as 'Lights Out for Birds', the benefit of native plants (plus a plant sale), and birding in your backyard, will be covered. Bird walks will be led around Lake David by Orange Audubon Educator, Kathy Ringling. More to come.

BirdFest

Balsam Mountain Trust is hosting its 7th annual World Migratory Bird Day Festival, BirdFest, on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 from 10:00am-4:00pm, which celebrates birds and encourages participants to protect them 365 days a year. This year’s theme, “Protect Insects, Protect Birds,” highlights the important relationship between a thriving invertebrate population and a healthy bird community, especially in spring when insects provide crucial protein for growing nestlings.

Family Fun Day/Point Reyes Birding & Nature Festival

Family Fun Day is a free event with exploration and fun geared to families with budding birders ages 3-15. Planned by the Environmental Action Committee (EAC) of West Marin and Amigos Alados, the festival will be held on Sunday, April 21st, on the Livery Lawn outside of the EAC offices, 65 3rd Street, Point Reyes Station. Volunteers from All About Owls will start the event with a live owl presentation, and then participants can visit nature-oriented science and art & crafts tables. From 1:00 to 1:45 the Pretty Swell Band will entertain with nature songs.

Brasso Seco Bird Harvest

Join the Trinidad and Tobago Bird Observatory and Research Centre as we dive into the heart of ecological harmony at this year's Caribbean Endemic Bird Festival (CEBF) with our theme: "Protect Insects, Protect Birds." In synergy with World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD). We're aligning our voices to spotlight the critical relationship between insects and birds, highlighting the importance of insects in our ecosystem and why they are vital for soil health through our 2024 save soil campaign in line with our Rainforest Habitat Protection model.

Charla/Taller: “Aves y agua, y la ciencia ciudadana”

Por primera ocasión se tocará en el colectivo Cha'an Ch'íich': Con Ciencia Infantil, el tema sobre la importancia de las aves en los diferentes ecosistemas de la península de Yucatán, haciendo enfásis en los acuáticos. La intención será poder compartir en el marco del "Festival del Eclipse 2023, las importantes funciones de las aves y como pueden fungir en el equilibrio ecológico de los mismos, así como sus amenazas por los plásticos y la contaminación.
