As in previous years, the event includes bird ringing, the release of rehabilitated migratory birds, a photo exhibition, story tellers, "young birdwatchers", an exhibition on threatening factors to endangered bird species, etc.

This year's WMBD event involves various activities, such as an exhibition, educational programs on the the importance of migratory birds in life, birdwatching sessions and film screenings.

This year's event includes a photo competition as well as various other competitions and also birdwatching activities.

Furthermore, media related to migratory birds will be present and discussions on this topic are planned.

Nature Conservation Committee in association with Birds Bangladesh, Nijhumdweep Wetland Center will organise music, dance and a lecture on saving migratory birds. A film will be shown on migratory birds as well as a bird photo exhibition. A children painting contest on birds will also be part of the programme.

The Brisbane City Council in Australia is celebrating the '2010 World Migratory Bird Day' with a free community music festival on 9 May 2010.

This festival aims to raise awareness on protecting migratory birds and their habitat.

Come and join us for Wings Over Weston, a birding festival that celebrates all the fascinating birds that migrate through Weston Bend State Park every spring!
Take part in guided bird hikes, activities and games for children of all ages, music, food, a native plant sale, and a chance to view live birds up close.
Sponsors include Burroughs Audubon, Missouri State Parks, Audubon Missouri, Missouri Department of Conservation, Platte County Parks and Recreation, City of Weston, Aveda Corporation, and Kansas City Power and Light.

Event Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

As part of WMBD, the Israel Nature & Parks Authority invites the public to participate in experiential mark for migratory birds;"Endangered bird - the Earth is changing every year"! - Program including: guided tours, information station on migratory birds, birding quiz, bird photo exhibition, bird ringing by a qualified ornithologist, poster competition awards carries family. At 13:00hrs: release of rehabilitated birds from the Wildlife Hospital – Common & Honny Buzzards.
Guided tours will be held at 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00; Ringing will be done until 11:00.
