Wader Migration Game - Das Zugvogelspiel

The "Wader Migration Game", a 2h-educational activity, offers a playful approach to migratory birds and the Wadden Sea ecosystem as stopping place on the East-Atlantic flyway. In the role of a wader chic the children experience the adventure of migration and discover the importance of undisturbed feeding and resting grounds along the flyway. Bird-watching activities complete the programme. Every participant receives a "logbook" of the journey to take home.

Activities for Friends of Wings

The planned event will include a guided birdwatching tour, workshops, a poster & bird photo exhibition, a film, showing the wonders of birds with art performances (music, theatre, dance and poetry recitations), children’s events (such as face paintings, bird costume making, designing nature cards, painting and bird quiz competitions), and exhibitions (such as bird paintings, bird prints and bird photographs).

Georgian Kids for the Protection of Migratory Birds

We are planning activities connected to the protection of migratory waterbirds throughout Georgia. For this purpose we aim to contact Georgian schools (through the Ministry of Education) and organize activities such as children's art exhibitions and concerts. Meanwhile we are going to announce a competition for the best Georgian (unfortunately we do not have sufficient sources to invite international participants) song on the subject of the protection of migratory birds.

The traces of spring

This educational bus tour passes along the White Sea - Baltic Flyway. The final stop is at the biggest in Europe geese stop-over sites, situated in the southern Karelia. During the tour, participants learn to identify 10 migrating bird species according to their appearance and voices and to face them into nature.

Conociendo las Aves Migratorias - Get to know migratory birds

Se realizara charla en un liceo de Bachillerato y se realizara salida para observacion de aves en ambientes naturales.

GIO will organise a presentation on migratory birds in a high school of Bachillerato. Afterwards birds will be observed in their natural environment.

Festival Internacional de las aves migratorias - International festival of migratory birds

Se llevan a cabo inauguración en la plaza pública del Puerto de San Blas, Nayarit. Hay 10 rutas de observación de aves, talleres infantiles, conferencias, concursos de artes plasticas, eventos culturales y exposiciones.

An international bird festival will be opened on the public plaza in the Port of San Blas, Nayarit. A presentation of 10 migratory bird species will be given accompanied by a workshop for children, conferences, a contest of plastic arts, cultural events and exhibitions.

La importancia de las aves migratorias en el mundo - The importance of Migratory Birds worldwide

Se realizara una charla en Power point orientada al publico en general, sobre la importancia de las aves migratorias en el mundo, haciendo incapie en la necesidad de proteger a las aves migratorias que visitan Patagonia y en especial las que transitan, alimentan y descansan por el nuevo Parque Nacional Monte Leon.

There will be a talk on importance of migratory birds, underlining the need for their protection. The presentation is addressed to the general public and concentrates on migratory birds that are feeding, resting and flying across Patagonia.

WMBD-2008

The activity will start with a bird walk in early morning and continued by a slide show on migratory birds in the afternoon. Villagers and school students are invited to identify birds of the area and to take part in a drawing and essay compition in the evening.
