Meet at the specified location at both 8am & 10am and join Jeremiah Kennedy to learn more about birds. The WMBD will solely be devoted to bird watching. The Event will be initiated in the Conference Hall of the Electricity Company. The bird watching will be conducted in Umshegaira Island in Khartoum State where migratory birds stop en route to the wintering sites or winter in the island. Families of electricity and waste management sectors will be invited to participate in the birds watching. The society will provide binoculars, telescopes, field guides as well as camping equipment. Two boats will be hired to take the guest to the island as well as a mini bus to transport them to the shore.

In light of this year's theme for WMBD 2013, we are networking conservationists with the renewable energies sector in Egypt. A trip is being organized for employees of the wind energy sector in Egypt in order to promote soaring birds concerns in their field of work. They will be taken out to a bottleneck site (Ein El Sokhna, Gulf of Suez) for birdwatching, then a field visit to a nearby wind farm, followed by a short seminar/workshop on wind energy and MSB conservation. Note that this date was chosen because it better suites the peak of migration in Egypt.

Speech, essay writing and drawing competition among the students of different schools and colleges will be held which will be finalized on 11 May 2013. Thereafter Bird Watching Event will be held at Taunsa Barrage Wildlife Sanctuary Kot Addu on 12 May 2013.

MigrantWATCH 2013/14 for Sri Lanka will be officially launched with a Birding Session at Thalangama Lake. Thalangama Lake (also known as Thalangama Tank) is one of the closest wetland to the country's capital. Many migrants visit the wetland and the session aims at observing these birds.
