Being the first time of observing WMBD, Ibadan Bird Club will do bird watching as well as taking some good photos of birds in this area. A little time afterwards for talk and refreshment.

The Copper River Delta Shorebird Festival was established in 1990 by the United States Forest Service. Beginning as a two-day workshop, the festival emphasized research networking. The Copper River Delta Shorebird Unit, comprised of participating researchers, became part of the Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network (WHSRN), a coalition of more than 240 organizations in North and South America whose mission is shorebird conservation.

WE ARE GOING TO INVOLVE ALL THE OFFICIAL BIRD GUIDES,SCHOOL CHILDREN AND TOURISTS IN THE GAMBIA AND THEY WILL BE SENT TO DIFFERENT DESTINATIONS THAT ARE IMPORTANT MIGRATORY SITES. WE ARE IN CONTACT WITH THE COCOA COLA COMPANY IN THE GAMBIA (GAMBEGA)AND GAMBIA TOURISM BOARD TO SPONSOR US HOST THIS EVENT.
