As Asia’ world city with most dynamic citylife, Hong Kong does preserve some truly impressive wildlife and ecology. Some remarkable habitats and species are protected at the outskirt of Hong Kong, Mai Po1. There, WWF-Hong Kong has a dedicated Research and Monitoring Team on site that works on assessing the effectiveness of the management of different habitats which are homes to the thousands of migratory birds refuge in the marshes and mudflats. “Bird count”, “photo recording” and “ringing” are among those works that bring in the knowledge of birds.

La recuperación de los valores culturales y tradiciones es una de las herramientas más importantes para la conservación, los “juegos tradicionales” representan la historia, cultura y tradiciones que están ligadas al entorno de una comunidad, el arraigo por este a través del juego nos permitirá que los niños apropien el conocimiento y cuidado de las aves.

We will organize a program where school kids to university students will participate through different events like drawing, debate, quiz, documentary, lectures etc. It will also be covered by local media.

World Migratory Bird Day 2014 will be celebrated on 11 May 2014, in three different venues i.e. Cox's Bazar Sadar, Sonadia Island and Teknaf Sadar in Cox's Bazar district of Bangladesh. Mass community awareness activity includes colorful rally, quiz competition, and open discussion followed by speeches from special guests. Tools of the awareness activity are poster, t-shirt and banner.
