This is an attempt to spot and chart the Avifauna in and around the city of Guwahati, Assam, India.Surveys will be organized by our NGO involving students from schools and colleges.

Department of Zoology, Jagannath University, Dhaka, is going to celebrate the ‘World Migratory Bird Day 2014’ in association with Nature Study & Conservation Club of Jagannath University, Prokriti O Jibon Foundation, Wildlife Rescue Centre of Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh Bird Club, Asian Wetland Conservation Fund and Beyond Adventure & Tourism.
On World Migratory bird Day TSA-India zoo volunteers conducting a event at the Lucknow Zoological Garden on 10-05-2014 (Saturday) at 12:00 PM (noon).This program will include Screening documentaries on migratory birds and an awareness campaign for the Zoo visitors.
This year event will start with a Seminar on important of migratory birds and their habitat; presentation on the work we are doing on migratory and why we are doing it
Bird watching excursion, radio discussion program to reach the provinces, Environmental video show and distribution posters and Brochures.
The event will span two days. On the first day the Biosfera team will take a lecture to the students of the schools of fishing communities on migratory birds. The next day the students will spend the day in the field learning how to use the materials for birdwatching, including: binoculars, telescope, bird guides and field notebooks.
