Celebrating WMBD

The Libyan Society for birds (LSB) intended to celebrate the World Migratory Birds Day in colaboration with the Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science at the University of Tripoli. The event will be an educational activity and bird watching during the event. The participants will be the members of LSB and post-graduate students.

International Migratory Bird Day

Today is International Migratory Bird Day, and we are celebrating with a day that's all about the birds! At 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., we'll have a presentation about migratory birds followed by a short bird walk. Weather-permitting, we will have bird-themed craft and activity stations set up outside. Stop by anytime during program hours to learn more about the birds that migrate through our region during this time of year. Current public health guidelines will be followed. FREE. All Ages. The Spring 2022 National Shorebird Count was held on May 15.

Thank you very much for the large number of participants.

We received reports from about 70 sites across Japan and counted 26,837 shorebirds of 42 species (including one hybrid species)!!!

World Migratory Bird Day Birdwatching Event

On World Migratory Bird Day, The Ghana Wildlife Society will organise a birdwatching exercise at the Pambros Salt Industries together with school children, teachers and the public in Greater Accra.
