NW Missouri Bird Crawl

Join Burroughs Audubon and special guest, Chris G. Earley, as we visit various wetland locations around the northwestern portion of the state of Missouri. We\\\'ll be looking for migrating waterfowl, waders and songbirds. Wetlands once occupied more than 2.5 million acres of alluvial bottomlands along Missouri\\\'s river systems. Today, probably less than 50,000 acres remain, and more is lost each year. Protection and restoration of remaining wetlands are primary goals of Missouri\\\'s Department of Conservation and non-government conservation-focused groups like Burroughs Audubon.
