-Thursday 10th May 2007: Press Release and Press Conference to launch the celebration followed by a forum on Migration, Flyways and climate change/global warming

-Organise introductory and interactive lessons on bird watching and wetlands exploration for families and friends, tour operators and guides at Ramsar sites. This will be done in form of bird watching tours to two Ramsar sites every weekend in May 2007
-Bird watching and wetland exploration tours for Staff and Executives of GWS Corporate Members every weekend in May 2007
-Friday 12th May 2007: Organize a corporate evening (cocktail and film screening for corporate bodies, conservation workers and government officials and decision makers) during which “An Inconvenient Truth” a film on global warming will be screened. The event will also promote the West African flyways and bird conservation
-The Film “An Inconvenient Truth” will be screened at other times during the month to different target groups (journalist, students, conservation workers and the general public). Each screening will be followed by an open forum on the theme “Migratory birds in a changing climate”.
-Sunday 13th May 2007: There will be a national quiz competition with questions on the following issues:
-migration,
-flyways,
-bird conservation
-changing climate
-and the stakeholder organisations
This will be broadcasted live on national radio and shown on national TV.
