Migratory Bird Day Display

Visit the Australia Birdlife Discovery Centre at the Newington Armory to help celebrate World Migratory Bird Day, a global awareness-raising event about the importance of protecting migratory birds and their habitats. You can learn more about the fascinating story of migratory shorebirds when you visit the Discovery Centre, this weekend and other weekends throughout May, as you chat to friendly staff and volunteers, view displays and museum shorebird specimens, and watch visual presentations. Children can make bird tracks or look for bird food in the sand and can add their colouring-in and bird drawings to our display board.
