Canoeing in the Wetlands – Bird Discovery

Join a canoe outing around the waterways of Boondall Wetlands to help celebrate the upcoming World Migratory Bird Day on 11-12 May. Discover the amazing story of the thousands of international migratory shorebirds that visit Moreton Bay each year.

Learn more about these wonderful wetlands on Brisbane’s doorstep and our resident and migratory bird species. Cost is $20 per person, strictly cash only, to be paid on arrival.

When making a booking please provide your current daytime phone number to Council staff. Environment Centres staff will need to contact you prior to the activity to arrange the completion of safety forms. All participants must complete a set of safety forms before the activity can start.
Minimum age strictly 6 years.

Each child MUST be supervised by x1 (one) supervising adult who is also booked into the activity.

Bring an energy snack and 1 litre of drinking water per person for morning-tea out on the water. Please wear clothing that can get wet, including enclosed shoes, sun-smart clothing, hat and sunglasses. Also please bring plenty of sunscreen and insect repellent. You may wish to have a change of dry clothing on hand after the activity.
