Learn how to draw 3 species of Migratory Birds with guidance from Tutor Bethany Y Milam. There will be a step-by-step demonstrations, showing you how to understand bird anatomy and build up sketches using simple shapes. There will be exploration of drawing techniques and lots of drawing tips along the way. This workshop is suitable for all, including beginners and the perfect way to practice your drawing skills while learning a little about these amazing long-distance flyers.
The session will last approximately two hours. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and I will make some time for individual feedback on your artwork at the end of the session (you may need to allow another 15 mins on class time if you would like feedback).
Workshops are recorded and a link will be emailed to participants after the event. If you cannot make the workshop time/date you can still take part by catching up later with the recording.

Materials
Reference photos. These will be on screen but you might prefer to have them printed out or viewable on a separate device. The references I will be using are available to download from a link on your ticket.
There are no set materials, and you are free to use any additional supplies but it is recommended you have:
Pencil
Lots of Drawing/cartridge paper or a sketchbook (A4 or A3 size suggested)
Coloured pencils
Additional extras that you may want to use are:
Drawing pen
Coloured markers
Watercolour
Pastels
Any other media you prefer
