Raising awareness about pollinators importance in schools

To promote an environmental culture based on collective action and personal agency, as well as the right to live in a healthy and sustainable environment, we plan to establish pollinator gardens in 5 schools with the student’s participation.Through the garden implementation and maintenance, we will educate the students about the importance of agrochemical-free cultivation for human health and pollinators conservation. The plants that we will establish in the garden are several native species of Salvias, Fuchsias, and plants of the Asteraceae family. The seeds of these plants have been collected on the region during last year. We have selected native plant species that we have observed in the field providing important resources to different groups of pollinators.
