Animal migration is one of the most vivid examples of the interrelationships and interdependencies that characterise life on our shared planet. As part of the exhibition "Bending the Curve - Knowing, Acting, Caring for Biodiversity" at the Frankfurter Kunstverein, MYRIAD. Where we connect. can be experienced for the first time as an interactive, expansive installation. From 13 October 2023 to 3 March 2024, the project tells the story of the acute challenges and consequences of human actions for our ecosystems from the perspective of globally migrating animals such as the amur falcon, the bald ibis and the grey crane. The installation creates a change of perspective and allows visitors to experience themselves as part of the interconnected system of the earth. MYRIAD tells the individual stories of more than 22,000 animals on water, land and air on three expansive carbon modules with immersive technologies, spatial interactions and a graphic and sculptural language of forms based on real migration data.
