Calling all families with fledglings ages 3 and up! Join us for this family day of fun on the Livery Lawn in Point Reyes Station. Activities include two guided birding walks in the Giacomini Wetlands, a live bird show by All About Owls, a story and drawing lesson by famed Ane Carla Rovetta, a Free Public Library book table and information about borrowing ornithology backpacks, and an array of hands-on craft and educational experiences including face painting, mask making, wire sculpting, origami, "Binocular Bootcamp", owl pellet dissection, measuring your wingspan, and working with a watershed model. Participants should consider wearing wildlife-inspired costume wigs, wings, headwear, masks, face paint, etc. Families are also encouraged to bring a blanket, snacks, and lunch, so they can relax on the lawn.
