Dim the Lights for Birds at Night

The migration of birds is a new topic that we are trying to educate our city about.  We are taking this slowly.  We donated a copy of the book, Lights Out to each of the elementary school libraries, as well as our public library.  We have advertised the event in local news and with flyers.  We are asking the public to simply turn off their outside lights from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM on October 8, 2022.  We will increase educational efforts throughout the year, so that in May of 2023, we can broaden out scope and hours of outside lights being turned off.
