In welcoming the WMBD 2022 celebration, Wildlife Observer Community celebrates with a series of activities for public awareness. The series is in the form of Public awareness and Birdwatching.
From this activity, we expect it can motivate people to give concern about world bird migration especially in Kuala Simbur Village, Indonesia, either through bird watching or various event related to conservation activities for migratory birds or even it can educated young student about bird migration activity in indonesia.
Event objectives:
- To raise awareness about the importance of the conservation of migratory waterbirds in Kuala Simbur Village, Indonesia.
- To disseminate information regarding the importance of migratory birds in Indonesia.
- To observe migratory bird and its habitat in nature
- To educate citizens and young students about migratory bird’s habitat conservation .
Event details:
1. Field visit and Birdwatching : We will visit the habitat of migratory birds in Kuala Simbur Village with students, local peoples, and local conservationists. During this visit, participants will observe the various species of birds, their behavior, and their habitat.
2. Awareness campaign: We will organize an awareness-raising campaign among the local people and school-going children in the nearest area of the habitat of migratory birds. The goal of this awareness campaign is to give knowledge to local peoples and children near the location about migratory bird and it’s migration activity .
