To celebrate World Migratory Bird Day, the Library is hosting a native plant giveaway, on May 10th and May 11th from 9 to Noon both days! Dim the Lights for Birds at Night, is the theme for WMBD this year!
Early is better! Native plants aren't afraid of a little frost. Choose your plant, then take it home and plant it! But while you're at the Library, be sure to enter our prize drawing. You may win a pair of Raptor binoculars, or a 20 pound bag of bird seed. And there will be a craft for the preschoolers! May 11th will feature a presentation by Becky Brathal, Private Land Biologist for the Department of Natural Resources. Wondering about creating prairie space, using native plants or starting a rain garden? Bring your questions for Becky!
