Lynette Lee, the Head of Playlogue Creations will talk about the board game Fly-A-Way and how it dramatises the life and trials of migratory birds. Get a peek into playtesting and the art of gamifying weighty issues like climate change. Look out for gameplay videos and quizzes along the way!
Dr Yong Ding Li, the Regional Flyways Coordinator for BirdLife International and the author of The 125 Best Bird Watching Sites in Southeast Asia, will share about the state of migratory bird conservation in the region, his collaboration with Playlogue on creating Fly-A-Way and the need to widen the flock of nature lovers through creative storytelling.
Kerry Pereira, the Member Programme and Outreach Officer for the Nature Society (Singapore), will share about the society's educational and outreach programmes with a focus on the Singapore Bird Race. The annual competition, organised by NSS's Bird Group, is now in its 37th year and is part of a long tradition of play in nature. It’s the game of birding!
