BANCA will mark World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) 2019 with the Theme of Protect Birds: Be the Solution to Plastic Pollution Event at the Basic Education High School of the village around Moe Yun Gyi Wildlife Sanctuary which is the first Ramsar Site in Myanmar and located in the Southern Bago Region, Myanmar. BANCA will hold a WMBD 2019 event with the objectives of increasing people’s awareness of the importance of conserving migratory birds and their habitats in Myanmar. Moreover, people can be strongly increase the awareness about the impact of plastic pollution on both migratory birds and other wildlife. In this event, (150) participants will be invited - namely community, students and government officials.

Plastic cleaning activity
BANCA will contribute in sharing wetlands conservation information pamphlets about the status of Moe Yun Gyi WS and resident and migratory bird species there.
