May 4 is World Migratory Bird Day and Oregon Zoo will celebrate with some of its residents.
Discover which species of migratory birds live at the Oregon Zoo and how the zoo helps them thrive and survive: the bufflehead, the ruddy duck and the northern shoveler, along with the California condor, the golden eagle and the green-winged teal, among others.
From 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., biologists from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and other conservation experts will be in the Nature Exploration Station leading visitors through educational activities and games, all designed to be fun for the entire family create a better world for migratory birds through simple, everyday actions.
