Come and see the newly established nature areas at Vigelsø on the World Migratory Bird Day!
As a part of a program in 2016 to ensure the nature at Vigelsø, new nature areas have been established after a storm ruined a dam in the area. These new areas include salt marshes and islands.
At the tour you will be able to hear about breeding birds, the new nature areas and how improvements are being implemented to ensure the nature in the area.
Meeting point: The Klintebjerg harbor. There will be parking options just before the harbor.
Tour guides: Senior Consultant Søren Kirk Strandgaard and Kurt Due Johansen from the Danish Ornithological Association.
Price: Free
Registration: Since there is both limited space at some of the locations and limited transport options, registration is necessary.
Find registration for the tour here.
The tour is organized by ‘Naturstyrelsen’ in collaboration with the Johannes Larsen Museum.
The tour is a part of a project called: “Better BirdLIFE”. This project’s focus is to improve the conditions for a large number of exposed coastal birds.
