2nd Annual Bird Walks and Social at Wahaneeta Preserve

Saturday, May 4th at 7:30am

Whether you’re birding for the first time or you’ve been birding for years, this is an event you won’t want to miss!

Join us for a brisk, cool morning walk as we look and listen for birds along the trails that wind through Westerly’s woodlands, waterways and grasslands. We will meet at Westerly Land Trust’s Wahaneeta Preserve before splitting off into three groups, each lead by an expert birder, to explore the sights and sounds of local birds. Keep track of your findings because we will meet up after the walks back at Wahaneeta Preserve for a social to discuss what we found!

For all attendees, be sure to wear shoes appropriate for natural conditions that may include rocks, roots and mud along the paths.  Be sure to bring your binoculars if you have them!

Please Note:

Please arrive promptly at 7:30AM
Wahaneeta Preserve is located at 118 Moorehouse Rd. in Westerly RI
