Wildlife Conservation and Birds Club of Ladakh (WCBCL), Leh is first Non Government Organization (NGO) fully dedicated creating awareness about the Birds of Ladakh and their conservation through grassroot level awareness campaigns, especially through Birding Guide Trainings, Birding Field Trips and Nature Trail programs for youths through Schools and Colleges.
In 2019, WCBCL, Leh plans to organise mass bird count called Migratory Bird Count Ladakh 2019, where interested youth is invited to go for field trips / birding / bird count and collect their observation to add to the eBird for further understanding of the problems and issues facing the Migratory Birds of the region in Ladakh Himalaya.
A public function is planned so that the observations are recorded and further course of action to help alleviate the suffering migratory birds of Ladakh have experienced due to practical ground projects through concerned departments and public.
