In the beginning of June the Partnership "Birds and People" with the support of the "Kenozersky National Park" FGBU took part in ornithological research and the "Birder School" in the Onega Pomorie National Park.
Through the Onega Peninsula of the White Sea - from Una Bay of the Dvina Bay to the Ukhta Bay of the Onega Bay, the Dvina-Onega flyway is part of the global White Sea-Baltic (North Atlantic) migration route. Hundreds of thousands of birds returning to their homeland - the Arctic coast of Russia, from the Kola Peninsula to Taimyr, from Africa and Southern Europe, annually follow this corridor.
In the general list of birds of the national park "Onega Pomorye" - 206 species. And 19 of them were photographed by the young participants of the first in the Arkhangelsk region and in general in the Russian North of the boring competitions - Onega Spring-2018. Participants in the competition were 3 teams of pupils of grades 5-8 of the Purnemäe School who had previously participated in the training.
In the development of cooperation with the leadership of the national park, the possibility of organizing large-scale competitions that will gather teams from the entire Arkhangelsk region is being discussed.
