On Saturday, May 19, families are invited to join park rangers to celebrate Junior Ranger and World Migratory Bird Day with a day full of free family activities and outdoor events.
Those interested are invited to meet at Eliot Hall on the Schoodic Point campus near the water tower, rain or shine. The event will run from 1 to 4 p.m. Activities are geared toward children ages 12 and under accompanied by an adult.
Activities for children include learning about the plants and animals of Schoodic Point, what it takes to be a firefighter for the National Park Service, as well as artistic opportunities and games.
This event is sponsored by the National Park Service, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust and Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park.
