Karen Blixen and the migratory birds — a walk through the bird reserve

Just a few years prior to her death, Karen Blixen established a bird reserve at her Danish property, Rungstedlund. During this walk, we will learn about the nature of bird migration and explore Karen Blixen's affection for migratory birds. Throughout her life in Kenya and Denmark, birds were an inspiration to her - not least insectivorous birds such as nightingales, swallows and swifts who spend the winter in Africa and return to Rungstedlund again in spring.

The event will take place on 8 May 2024 from 17:00 - 18:30 at the Karen Blixen Museum in Rungstedlund, Denmark.
