Angola - Portugal WMBD 24 Joint Celebration

Within the partnership in the MBP network, CIOMA (Angola) and EVOA (Portugal) planed a WMBD 2024 joint celebration, aiming the reinforcement of cooperation between the parties and bring together people linked by the same flyway and same language. This joint celebration aims to: • Engage 120 children from Angola and Portugal in a WMBD joint celebration, remotely; • Promote a virtual exchange between 15 teachers/volunteers from CIOMA and EVOA partner schools in Angola and Portugal respectively; • Involve 40 street boys in a birdwatching excursion in Lobito and Luongo Wetland Sites. This challenge will certainly contribute significantly to raise awareness of the target groups toward the conservation of migratory birds and their habitats and contribute to strengthen cooperation between both centres along the East Atlantic Flyway.
