WMBD Ottawa Valley 2023

Join the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre, Wild Birds Unlimited, and the Bird Friendly Cities Ottawa team at Walter Baker Park to celebrate WMBD!
Drop by the covered picnic structure and gazebo on May 13th from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm to:
- Participate in bird-themed crafts and activity pages.
- Learn more about this year's theme - Water! by completing fun activities focused around a few of this year's featured species such as the Barn Swallow and Osprey.
- Borrow a pair of binoculars and try out birding scopes by the pond.
- Learn more about the Wild Bird Care Centre and how together we are able to help thousands of injured, ill, and orphaned birds return to the wild each year.
- Speak to members of the Bird Friendly Cities team to learn more about how we can all help make Ottawa a safer city for wild birds.
- Have a chance to take home some goodies and win prizes from your local Wild Birds Unlimited store.
- Take some time to ask all your bird questions and share your bird stories with us!
