Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day at Beltzville State Park as we dive into the fascinating world of these beautiful, and sometimes difficult-to-observe, migratory songbirds! Mid-May is peak warbler migration at the park, and around 30 species of warblers can be observed at the park during peak migration. We’ll take a relatively easy 2-mile hike around our Day Use Area in search of warblers and other migrating birds. Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars, although a very limited amount of binoculars are available for loan during the program. The terrain is easy, but participants should wear sturdy walking/hiking shoes, and bring water if desired.
We will be meeting at the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) for this program.
*Rain will cancel the program
*Registration is required, and participants should register each individual attending, separately.
