The Chequamegon Bird Club of Medford, Wisconsin will be holding three field trips in conjunction with Migratory Bird Day. There will be a short presentation and informational pamphlets at the start of each field trip.
Our field trips are:
Saturday, April 23 at the Medford school forest, located approximately eight (8) miles east of Medford, WI on the south side of State Highway 64, from 6:30-9:00 pm. We will be listening for owls, woodcock, and other evening birds.
Sunday, May 1 in the Miller Dam area from 2:00-5:00 pm. We will begin in the Forest Service parking lot located at N5928 Konsella Rd, Gilman, WI. Waterfowl and songbirds are the main focus of this field trip.
Sunday, May 22 from 7:30- 10:00 am in the Chequamegon National Forest, starting at the gated snowmobile trail on Forest Road 553.
