The village of Grayslake, Illinois will celebrate Migratory Bird Day 2022 with a presentation "dim the lights for bird migration" on Monday, May 18, at 7 pm. The meeting will be held at Village Hall and will feature manager of the Skokie Valley Astronomers Dale Dellutri and Audubon member Diane Rosenberg. The problem of light pollution for bird migration has been recognized as a serious threat to birds worldwide.. Rosenberg emphasizes migration in Lake Coutny, Illinois, Whil Dellutri illuminates the extensive nature of light pollution and related issues. The program is free and open to the public and part of an effort by the village of Grayslake to earn Bird City status from the Council of Illinois Audubon.
