Songbird Celebration is an annual event celebrating the return of migratory songbirds and in honor of World Migratory Bird Day. This year we're going virtual!
On Saturday, April 24 join us for some fun bird-related presentations via our Facebook page sprinkled throughout the day. We'll also have a special Virtual Songbird Celebration webpage available that day on our park website with links to an array of bird-related activities, crafts, story times and more available for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own home. Open the Songbird tab to see virtual program & at home activities: https://www.wakegov.com/departments-government/parks-recreation-and-open-space/all-parks-trails/blue-jay-point-county-park/blue-jay-point-programs-events/blue-jay-point-major-events

If you want to get out and celebrate we'll have several self-guided activities such as a StoryWalk®, bird watching at the Education Center and letterboxing (all within theme!) at the park for you to discover. Accessible in the park from 9am-6pm.
Any in person and webpage activities will be available for the week after Songbird Celebration so that you have time to explore the fantastic world of songbirds!
