World Migratory Bird Day

Join us at Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge for our annual World Migratory Day on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. (rain or shine). Featuring hoverball archery, canoe and kayak paddling, face painting and a variety of nature arts and crafts, we are expecting approximately 500 people to attend this year’s event! The event focus on Long Island ecology while working together to promote positive conservation messages. This year’s World Migratory Bird Day theme is “Birds Connect Our World” which makes it a perfect opportunity for organizations to engage the public in supporting and protecting natural ecosystems crucial for our international birds.
