Expected No of Participants: 100 in-service teachers

 

This research is working towards the influence of Project-Based Learning (PBL +1P) Warren, A.M. (2016) Modules infused with Citizenship Science in teaching avian ecology and biodiversity in the Philippines to high school learners or a teacher training for Biology teachers. The researcher made use of PBL +1 Pedagogy, Warren, A.M (2016) to design the modules that stimulate the interdisciplinary (all subjects) approach and letting learners familiarize domestic avian ecology and biodiversity concepts. It was necessary to carry out trials on the modules in a class by administering a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model. There were thirty-two (32) research participants under ESEP (Engineering and Science Education Program) at Ramon Magsaysay Cubao High School, Quezon City. The experimental set was acquainted with Project-Based Learning +1 Pedagogy and Citizenship Science projects such as Key Conservation Sites in the Philippines by Haribon Foundation, eBird, and BirdLife.
