Release of the Ottawa Bird Strategy
This Migratory Bird Day, Safe Wings in partnership with Nature Canada, Birds Canada, the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre and the Ottawa Field Naturalists’ Club is excited to release the Ottawa Bird Strategy, funded by the Ottawa Community Foundation. The Strategy describes best practices for addressing major threats to birds, and identifies ways to integrate and benefit from bird conservation. It is intended as a guide for policy makers, developers, and residents to understand the challenges birds face, learn how we can better protect birds in our communities, and appreciate why that’s important. Be sure to follow Safe Wings on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to receive the notification when the Strategy is released or the Safe Wings website on May 9, 2020 to download the Strategy. #OttawaBirdStrategy
