Pickie Spotters On Papay

We are sending the islanders out to look for the Pickies. Scheduled to arrive from Antarctica on the first foggy day in May..it could be the 9th. Connecting Papay (Papa westray) one of the Orkney archipelago to Antarctica, with the migration routes of Arctic terns (Pickies in Papay dialect). Papay has a much diminished population of breeding Arctic terns, we aim to hgihlight thier plight, while introducing islanders to these wonderful birds and  he invisible connnections they make with far distant places. We are lookng for signs of continuity as things around us constantly shift.
