World Migratory Bird Day by Friends Of Pondicherry

This all-day event features guided bird walks where we hope to see 100 or more species of birds during their migration north. We have two field trip starting times with the first beginning at Airport Marsh in Whitefield at 6 a.m. The second field trip starts at 8 a.m. at the Pondicherry Trailhead on Airport Road in Whitefield across from the Biomass Power Plant. We will walk from 3-5 miles on easy terrain looking for a variety of warblers and raptors. Bring binoculars, lunch, water and clothing appropriate for the day’s weather. The event is free and open to the public. Free IMBD posters will be available. Stay as long as you like with the usual finish time around 3 p.m.
