The celebration will be held after the delivery of training about vulture conservation and their ecological importance to local authorities and elementary school teachers in Metehara town. On the day of the celebration, school children will perform a play showing the importance and threats faced by vultures. In addition question and answer competition under the the theme of vultures and their migration will take place at the local school. Local administrative officials and external experts will address participants, right after local bird watching expedition at Lake Beseka, on how to assist conservation efforts. A total of 150 people are expected to attend the event.
