To celebrate World Migratory Bird Day, the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior and the University of Konstanz are hosting the World Premier of the graphic novel "A Stork’s Story”.
From producer Benjamin Dix of PositiveNegatives and comic creator Karrie Fransman, “A Stork’s Story" brings to life the latest scientific breakthroughs about migration in one of the world’s most iconic birds. But unlike others, “A Stork’s Story" transcends boundaries of storytelling by writing—not with words—but with animated illustrations that endlessly unfold to reveal the tale of life and death in a long-range migrant.
Join the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior and the University of Konstanz for an intercontinental journey into the power of visual storytelling.
The event features:
- World premiere screening of A Stork’s Story
- Introduction by Benjamin Dix from London-based production company PositiveNegatives
- Lectures by world-leading stork scientists Andrea Flack, Wolfgang Fiedler, Martin Wikelski
- Interactive demonstrations of cutting edge science by researchers from the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior and the University of Konstanz
