Education and demonstration ringing for school children

In the frame of the Adriatic flyway project, Croatian Society for Birds and Nature Protection (CSBNP) is going to held an educational event for school children at the lake in the city of Osijek (eastern Croatia). The program will start with a short interactive presentation about bird migration and the threats for birds, the plastic pollution and about what everybody can do to help birds in our environment. Then a demonstration ringing using mist nets will follow in order to introduce school children with some ways of researching the phenomenon of bird migration and to bring birds closer to them, hopefully leading to development of respect towards nature and environment during their future life.
